SUMMARY
The Finance Systems Director is responsible for supporting, planning and managing Ansys’ Finance Digital Transformation. The Finance Systems Director will be responsible for driving the strategy and implementation and ongoing support of transformational projects across Finance, partnering with our IT team and other key stakeholders across the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, plan and execute a multi-year digital transformation of Ansys’ key financial processes.  Key deliverables include: process redesign, leading vendor selection for tools/implementation, defining business and functional requirements, leading vendor selection for tools and implementation, and building capability to manage and maintain systems/processes post implementation.
  • Coordinate global finance transformation efforts to drive progress for the function's technology and processes along a maturity framework representing best practices of leading finance functions.
  • Partner with Finance business leaders globally to translate their business priorities into technical solutions, drive simplification and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Manages large scale implementations of new financial and corporate systems such as Oracle Cloud ERP, Business Intelligence Tools, Billing, and Revenue Recognition with experience connecting to adjacent business systems such as CPQ, CRM and HRIS.
  • Review capital spending updates quarterly with the Capital Committee. Track capital requests and forecasted spend against the annual plan. Review and approve exceptions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement approach to ensure processes and internal controls scale with changes in business, products, technology, and accounting policy.
  • Manage the annual Financial Systems budget including, software maintenance, subscription expenses, capital Expenses and Professional services costs.
  • Acts as the primary liaison of the Finance organization to IT for all corporate financial system releases.
  • Review performance of applications programs to ensure program efficiency, program documentation, and to ensure that output meets the needs of user departments.
  • Prepares regular steering Committee and other executive level reports and CFO support showing functioning of the system, status of program development and department needs.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Computer Science or related field.
  • A minimum of ten years of Finance Systems experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience on Oracle platform.
  • Experience in application architecture and making rational buy vs. build and interface decisions.
  • Fluency in modern financial automation, decision support and financial systems platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming business requirements into an actionable roadmap.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid experience with integration between multiple, highly complex systems.
  • Experience in leading inter-organization change to increase efficiency by the implementation of technology.
  • Experience in SaaS.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or other related Masters Degree preferred.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Experience leading or providing substantial leadership within a large scale digital transformation project.
