Summary / Role Purpose

 

The Ethics & Compliance Program Manager reports to the VP & Deputy General Counsel, Compliance and is responsible for implementing and maintaining different program elements needed to promote ethical practices at Ansys.  In this role you will serve as a key member of the Ansys Ethics & Compliance Team and help build and maintain an effective ethics and compliance program that cultivates compliance with the Ansys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, relevant laws and regulations, industry standards and Company policies.

 

The role will be located at Ansys’ headquarters in Canonsburg, PA or remotely from any location within the continental United States.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Provide compliance guidance across the Company and help to resolve compliance matters under minimal supervision
  • Lead the compliance policies and procedures life cycle management efforts; draft and/or modify documents that ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulatory requirements and promote a culture of compliance
  • Enable the review and update of ethics and compliance company policies, and manage the translation and localization of such policies
  • Develop and maintain the compliance program training plan; develop training materials and deliver instructor led training to a diverse audience on company policies and compliance topics including anti-corruption, anti-fraud, conflicts of interest, data privacy, data protection, and third-party risks
  • Create a scalable training and awareness campaign focused on enabling people leaders to support ethical decision-making and compliance at Ansys
  • Plan and lead events around an annual “Ethics & Compliance Week” aimed at increasing employee awareness of the Ansys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other compliance-related topics
  • Develop ethics and compliance content for internal and public-facing websites
  • Assist in fostering a speak-up culture; manage the confidential hotline reporting system 
  • Compile, analyze, and track key metrics and prepare presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Provide regular status updates to the VP & Deputy General Counsel, Compliance
  • Support a variety of Ethics & Compliance Program activities, including response to internal and third-party program assessments, implementation of an employee sentiment and ethical culture survey, and generation of employee guidance for ethics and compliance policies
  • Assist with the development, implementation and improvement of ethics and compliance policies, procedures, training and awareness that drive compliant behavior.
  • Imagine and develop new programs as the Ansys Ethics & Compliance Program grows
  • Assist with day-to-day administration of the Company’s corporate insurance program including claims administration and loss control activities, management of relationships with third party service providers including brokers and insurers, and updating and monitoring compliance with insurance procedures
  •  Assist with compilation of underwriting information and coverage placement
  • Assist with other risk management projects and initiatives as required

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree
  • 8+ years of relevant corporate compliance and ethics experience or the functional equivalent, including experience in the following areas: ethics and compliance program development, training and communication expertise, policy development, project management, program analytics/metrics and brand development
  • Strong understanding of what it means to be a compliance and ethics professional with a good sense for practical solutions
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proactive, flexible, responsive and resourceful
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Strong critical thinking skills and project management skills
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience working independently, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Represent leadership on projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written), with both legal and non-legal professionals and comfort working in a role requiring utmost discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Is flexible and adaptable - demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and work diplomatically and tactfully with others
  • An inclusive individual who thrives in a team-oriented and collaborative environment

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Significant experience in policy life cycle management
  • High proficiency in compliance-related case management systems and policy life cycle management systems, with a strong preference for experience with NAVEX Global applications (including EthicsPoint and PolicyTech)
  • Experience developing and/or administering global ethics and compliance programs
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification
