Summary and Role Purpose
The Director of Web and Digital Marketing is responsible for leading all aspects of the company's website strategy, development, and optimization initiatives to demonstrate the company’s breadth of solutions and thought leadership in the engineering simulation industry with specific goals around driving online brand visibility, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. This role partners with leaders across the Marketing organization and beyond to create and implement robust and comprehensive digital programs that help transform the digital customer experience and align digital marketing efforts with brand, engagement, and demand generation objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, outline, plan and promote opportunities for site improvements through technology and new features. Translate concepts, ideas, and improvements into key business objectives
- Lead and collaborate with content creators, designers, and developers to create compelling digital assets and experiences that drive engagement and conversions through effective search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and content marketing
- Establish proper analytics capabilities across the enterprise and determine digital content and inbound marketing KPIs, reporting results regularly to key executives and develop testing plans accordingly
- Represent voice of the customer in developing strategies to impact the end-to-end digital funnel
- Manage the relationship and governance of strategic partners/vendors/platforms
- Work collaboratively with the Ansys Marketing leadership team to define the strategic objectives for the function and build strong working relationships to deliver as a One Ansys Marketing organization
- Inspire, build, and lead a strong team by coaching and developing existing team members; bring strong vision and leadership to evolve the function by building new programs and developing required skills
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning. Explore new ways to create deeper and more immediate connectivity with the global workforce
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in website development, management, and enhancement with at least 5 years of experience in B2B technology markets as well as at least 5 years in a people manager role
- Experience in the following: Web Analytics, SEO, SEM, CMS specifically AEM, Web development, marketing automation tools, CRM, website design and user interface, e-commerce platforms, Google/Adobe Tag Manager, Customer Data Privacy Regulations
- Proven track-record of delivering world-class, large-scale, multi-language, performance critical web projects on-time and on-budget
- Critical thinker with the ability to creatively solve problems and deal with ambiguity
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management
- Proven experience with change management and organizational transformation
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree preferred
- Prior experience working in a technical business setting with engineers or in engineering simulation preferred
- Public company experience preferred
