Summary / Role Purpose

The Corporate FP&A Manager will be a key contributor on a team that leads all facets of the annual financial budget, recurring forecasts, and the long-range financial plan.

 

Responsibilities include providing accurate and timely analysis regarding our key sales metrics--annual contract value (ACV) and revenue.  The role also supports detailed sales forecasting, manages the quarterly revenue tracking, and supports the Company’s commercial functions with accurate and consistent financial analysis.

 

This role owns the revenue forecasting process, utilizing key revenue model input assumptions including deferred revenue, backlog, and forecasted ACV and multi-year lease deals. The role will partner with the Sales Finance team to identify, mitigate, and close any gaps to revenue, EPS, and ACV targets. They will also assist with preparation of annual budget materials and financial analysis on budget submission, long-term ACV and revenue modeling, and other ad hoc planning requests.

 

The role will participate in the preparation of consolidated financials aligned with monthly and quarterly forecasting and financial close cycles. They will also assist in the development of executive briefing materials with concise analyses of variances to forecast, plan, prior period, and prior-year results.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the quarter-end revenue tracking process—including daily updates on revenue for the quarter, reconciling what has been recorded in the system to what is still expected to be booked. Understand day-over-day variances and communicate drivers behind any changes to the forecasted result.
  • Run the consolidation of key monthly and quarterly topline forecasting and management reporting – analyzing financial results and distilling key trends.
  • Support annual sales and revenue budgeting efforts by interfacing with Sales Operations team through revenue modeling and analytical materials.
  • Support long-term ACV and revenue model used by executive leaders for strategic planning.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support internal decision making for a variety of business initiatives.
  • Drive analysis that delivers insight and recommendations to our executive leadership team for strategic and operational planning decisions.
  • Drive the continued development of budgeting, forecasting, planning, and modeling tools and processes, focusing on automation.
  • Support other ad hoc requests.

 

Minimum Education / Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Comfortable dealing with various financial/reporting tools and have a good understanding of financial processes including general revenue recognition and P&L operation.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Sales/Business Operations, or Data Analytics.
  • Demonstrated excellence in business analytics and tools, including Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel skills are a must.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, relationship development, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter willing to take initiative to learn new systems/skills and automate processes for increased efficiency.
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and recommended actions to all levels of the organization, using negotiation, persuasion, and discretion to accomplish objectives and deliver results.
  • Ability to drive projects to completion in a complex, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to handle sudden ad hoc requests outside of typical timelines.
  • Ability to ramp-up quickly in the work materials through deliberate learning efforts, with managerial support.
  • Must be able to work independently after taking direction, and to be proactive in asking questions.
  • Must be able to think intuitively to resolve data and process challenges as they arise, stretching beyond typical mechanical processes.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Professional qualifications such as MBA, CPA, CMA, or CFA is a plus.
  • Systems experience such as Planning Systems (Hyperion/Oracle EPM Planning), Oracle Financials, Salesforce, Alteryx and/or SQL is highly desirable.
  • Excel VBA is a plus.
