SUMMARY

The Accountant II is a regional position that reports into the Supervisor, Projects and Royalties, based in Canonsburg, PA. This position will participate in finance automation initiatives and will work with Ansys Customer Excellence (ACE), Reliability Engineering Services (RES), legal, business operations and other stakeholders. Activities will also include split/revenue distribution for Channel Partners, calculation and reporting of royalties, and tracking consulting projects for revenue recognition and invoicing.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to automate finance processes to improve speed, efficiency and reporting ability.
  • Create, edit and/or run Alteryx workflows.
  • Calculate, track, and distribute split revenue credit for Channel Partners.
  • Work with the ACE and RES organizations to properly track consulting services to recognize revenue according to Ansys policy and invoice amounts due as per signed statements of work with the customer.
  • Using Alteryx ensure all partner royalties are timely and accurately accrued and paid.
  • Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Support the integration of newly acquired companies by assisting with transition to ANSYS policies and procedures.
  • Support the department’s values and learning initiatives.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar business equivalent
  • Prefer two years project, royalty accounting and/or finance automation experience, preferably with a technology company.
  • Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Alteryx, Power BI, Oracle and NetSuite experience a plus
  • Experience working at a public, multinational technology company
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • ASC 606 revenue recognition experience
