Great entry-level position to the engineering software industry to work with customers around the world. We are looking for talented engineering graduates to join our team in our Cambridge, Lyon or Madrid offices.

 

What is the job about? You will start the day demonstrating our software to an aerospace company with our commercial team, then working side by side with your colleagues around Europe to implement a materials data management system for an electric cars manufacturer. Just after lunch, you will have the opportunity to discuss with the product team new improvements to our products and participate in a marketing webinar in a different language just before calling it a day.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be involved in interesting projects across the product design and development process—in materials characterization and design, mechanical simulation, additive manufacturing, electromagnetics and more.
  • Learn and apply engineering expertise and knowledge of Ansys Granta MI and Granta Selector to provide the highest level of technical support to our Application Engineering team and partners, ensuring high-quality, timely customer service that results in improved customer satisfaction and productivity.
  • Design and develop engineering databases and content for use in pre-sales and technology demonstrations, including data manipulation, data migration and Python scripting.
  • Create additional Marketing and Training content such us videos, demo scripts, case studies and exercises.
  • Perform Quality & Analysis of technical solutions, deployment support and contribute to research proof-of-concept projects.
  • Participate in internal corporate initiatives to share knowledge and to create best practices, both within and outside the discipline.

 

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Required education and degree type: BS or MS or in Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace/Electrical Engineering or a related field. Last year or finished degrees.
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; possesses a sense of urgency. 
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering environment: MS+0
  • Another European Language like German, French, Italian, Spanish, etc. would be a bonus
  • Use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, ERP, PLM software packages.
  • Knowledge of Python programming language.
  • Knowledge of Materials Science fundamentals.
