Senior Product Manager, Restricted Substances and Sustainability

 

As Product Manager, you will drive the product strategy, planning, product management, and successful customer adoption of our Restricted Substance and Sustainability Products.

 

The Materials Business Unit in Ansys provides market-leading software that enables product development organizations to manage vital materials information and make critical decisions about their engineering materials. You will be responsible for driving further growth of our Restricted Substance and Sustainability Products by leading the product management of this critical and growing area.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

  • Understand the market for restricted substance and sustainability through customer contact, engagement with stakeholders, and requirements-gathering exercises.  Develop clear profiles of the key personas and their challenges. Provide leadership by owning our product vision and roadmap.
  • Define and plan products that combine software and both legislation and materials data to deliver on this roadmap.  Own the commercial success of these products.
  • Work with our Data Products and Software development teams, inside the Materials Business Units and with other Ansys Business Units, leading sprint planning processes as the Product Owner, representing the customer to internal teams, and ensuring that the final product meets market requirements.
  • Negotiate, manage and develop key partnerships in support of our product development processes – for example, with providers of relevant materials data and materials safety data sheets.
  • Support the product marketing of these products, including product launches, product collateral, and technical and commercial presentations.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

A minimum of 3 years of software or data product management (or equivalent) experience

A Bachelors or higher degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline.

Have an organized approach and the ability to prioritize and trade-off conflicting commercial and technical constraints.

Possess excellent presentation and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working with technical and commercial staff both internally and with customers.

The ability & willingness to travel to our customers and conferences outside the UK as required

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    •    Master’s Degree preferred

    •    Experience working with materials science, restricted substances and/or sustainability/eco
