Summary and Role Purpose


The Field Marketing Specialist for EMEA Events will lead the go-to-market and pipeline generation efforts for Ansys through a number of events.   This candidate will effectively collaborate with sales, managing expectations while driving results through coordinated strategy and execution of programs. They will develop, manage and evolve marketing programs for the Ansys sales teams through event engagement and activations.  The primary objectives of the role is strategy & alignment with sales, technical and product teams delivering demand generation through successful campaign execution and understanding of key industry trends, strategic market opportunities and sales priorities.


Key Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Work with the global marketing team, product marketing and sales management to build a strong marketing plan around events, in order to support the planned business growth
  • Drive closed loop sales and marketing process by managing event lead operations to ensure quality lead flow, optimize lead follow-up and data quality for reporting
  • Work with a team of high-performing individual contributors, including Field Marketing Managers and Specialists, product marketing, ACE and sales to consistently deliver on key event priorities
  • Plans demand generation marketing programs to grow sales pipeline for the sales organization around events
  • Executes strategic global marketing campaigns and industry campaigns as aligned with event strategy
  • Project manager all aspects of events in EMEA  including pre, during and post event activities, teams and follow up


Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing; with field marketing experience in B2B technology markets withy heavy event execution experience
  • Proven ability to work closely and successfully with a sales organization
  • Proven ability to successfully execute a variety of marketing programs, including targeted direct mail and email, field events, social media, executive engagements, awareness campaigns 
  • Experience with marketing automation systems to successfully run campaigns
  • Strong analytics, reporting, and written communication skills


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Additional European languages are a plus.
  • Experience in B2B and B2C demand generation environment preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to earn trust through performance and relationship-building
  • Prior experience working in a technical business setting with engineers or in engineering simulation is a plus
