You will be part of a team responsible for delivering Granta MI, Granta Selector, and Granta EduPack, the Ansys Granta materials information management products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Create help, tutorials, videos, reference documentation, API documentation, and microcopy for Ansys Granta products. Update and revise previously-released content to ensure it remains accurate and up-to-date.
- Work with Product Owners, Product Managers, Software Developers, and technical experts to understand the requirements for new products, and software enhancements or changes in existing products.
- Collaborate closely with software development, QA, and documentation teams to support and enhance the software delivery process.
- Gain expertise in the Ansys software products you cover, and understand the customer use cases that drive their development.
- Provide UX feedback/ideas on how to improve design issues in the software you are documenting.
- Gain expertise in Ansys tools, processes, and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and practices.
- Work under some supervision
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- B.Sc in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or with 2 years’ relevant experience. Or, relevant Master’s degree with no experience.
- Fluency in English, along with excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources, paying close attention to detail
- Capacity to develop documentation ensuring a high level of quality, consistency, and accuracy
- Comfort in managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, geographically diverse environment
- This position does not qualify for immigration sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Familiarity with Ansys products
- Familiarity with the concepts of documentation authoring, common project management software, version control, and structured documentation, as well as build tools, oXygen, DITA, XML, Git, and agile development methodologies
- Aptitude for creating effective graphics to help users quickly understand complex concepts and processes.
- Familiarity with Git for source code control and collaborative development.
