Summary / Role Purpose  

You will be part of a team responsible for delivering Granta MI, Granta Selector, and Granta EduPack, the Ansys Granta materials information management products.  

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain automation tools using Python and PowerShell to support build and validation workflows. 

  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. 

  • Work with Product Owners, Product Managers, Software Developers, and technical experts to understand the requirements for new products, and software enhancements or changes in existing products. 

  • Collaborate closely with software development, QA, and documentation teams to support and enhance the software delivery process. 

  • Gain expertise in the Ansys software products you cover, and understand the customer use cases that drive their development.  

  • Promote secure development practices and assist with managing open-source dependencies and licensing compliance. 

  • Provide UX feedback/ideas on how to improve design issues in the software you are documenting.  

  • Gain expertise in Ansys tools, processes, and procedures. 

  • Use Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes effectively as part of the development and delivery process. 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and DevOps practices. 

  • Work under some supervision 

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience 

  • B.Sc in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or with 2 years’ relevant experience. Or, relevant Master’s degree with no experience. 

  • Fluency in English, along with excellent written and spoken communication skills 

  • Ability to gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources, paying close attention to detail  

  • Capacity to develop documentation ensuring a high level of quality, consistency, and accuracy 

  • Comfort in managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, geographically diverse environment 

  • This position does not qualify for immigration sponsorship 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

  • Familiarity with Ansys products 

  • Familiarity with the concepts of documentation authoring, common project management software, version control, and structured documentation, as well as build tools, oXygen, DITA, XML, Git, Camtasia, user-centered design processes, and agile development methodologies  

  • Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for scripting and automation. 

  • Familiarity with Git for source code control and collaborative development. 

  • Understanding of open-source licensing, code quality, and software security principles. 

  • Awareness of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC). 

  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. 

  • Working knowledge of Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes. 

  • Exposure to C# or C++ in a development or DevOps context.
