Summary / Role Purpose

The Events Specialist will work closely with Field Marketing events team on planning and executing marketing events. This role will also work closely with sales, global marketing, and cross-functional teams to support the overall business objectives. The primary objective of this role is to measure the effectiveness of event activities, deliver a strong project management skill set, and execute the many moving parts in an ever-changing environment.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Execution: Plan and execute sub-programs and workstreams within the event strategy that complement the overall objectives . Types of events include trade shows, conferences, and sponsorships to increase brand awareness and drive lead generation, aligned with the go-to-market and pipeline generation efforts for Ansys.
  • Logistics: handling the relationship with all event vendors (space floors, catering, transportation, design etc) and the role needs a very hands-on capability.
  • Lead management: Assist in lead collection, sorting, and management pre- and post-event. Collaborate with the field marketing teams to ensure leads are properly followed up after events.
  • Event Reporting: Gather and analyze event data, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements. Maintain accurate records of expenses, activities, and results.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any challenges that may arise during events promptly and effectively. Act as a resourceful problem solver to ensure a smooth event experience.
  • Brand representation: Ensure brand consistency and compliance with corporate guidelines in all marketing activities.
  • Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies to identify opportunities for enhancing our event strategies.
  •  Stakeholder Management: Work with a team of high-performing individual contributors, including internal colleagues and external vendors to consistently deliver event priorities.
  • Adhere to timely event flows and budgets allocations, maximizing impact and Return on Investment.
  • Support event-related finances such as billing and payment processing.

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven minimum 2 + years of experience in event planning, coordination, and execution, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage and captivate diverse audiences.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%-30% throughout the year.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy with a solid understanding of technology products and applications.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English and the local language of the territory.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in B2B and B2C demand generation environment preferred.
  • Fluent in additional languages of the region is a plus.
