SUMMARY

The role of Lead Product Marketing Manager is to own the development of a global marketing strategy across a portfolio of products aligned with the go-to-market goals for multiple Ansys Business Units. This includes defining product messaging, marketing programs, sales content, event plans, and external marketing partnerships. The strategy should reflect an understanding of key industry trends, market opportunities and customer priorities. Success will be defined by effective campaign execution that results in significant pipeline and revenue growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs and delivers global marketing strategies and programs across a multi-product portfolio spanning multiple business units
  • Drives demand for Ansys products and solutions with creative and innovative marketing practices that set the standard within our marketing organization
  • Leads cross-product and cross-business unit campaign for Ansys solutions, I.e. Autonomy, Electrification, 5G, etc.
  • Analyzes new and existing marketing programs to determine the effect on sales and adapts marketing strategies as necessary
  • Partners with field sales and technical support to ensure our messaging is resonating in the market while also evaluating customers’ perception of our Ansys products and brand
  • Acts as a spokesperson with all news outlets and media, and represents the company at trade shows, industry events and conferences
  • Oversees the production of all sales and marketing materials, including presentations, blog posts, whitepapers, web content and social media
  • Ownership of all new product launches in a business unit and implementation of those launch plans, including cross-business unit collaboration
  • Works with technical experts to define our solutions for industry and develops marketing materials that clearly articulate customer value
  • Works to maintain strong market intelligence, stay up to date on industry and societal trends, research the strategies of our competitors and make recommendations for changes to our own strategies
  • Defines the KPIs for product marketing and assesses marketing ROI through consistent monthly analysis and reporting
  • Drives campaign execution across social media, third-party websites, blogs, and other digital mediums to build awareness and engagement with targeted technical audiences.
  • Works with Sales and ACE leadership to target large customer opportunities using Account Based Marketing tactics to drive revenue growth and product utilization.
  • Monitors lead flow to ensure the appropriate sales channels are receiving and following up on leads.
  • Measures the ROI of product marketing tactics through consistent metrics analysis and reporting.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • BS in Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.with 8 years’ experience, MS with 6 years’ experience, or PhD with 1 year experience in a product marketing leadership role with a proven history of creating effective marketing programs
  • Experience managing the global launch of new products, conducting market analysis, developing market messaging, and communicating customer value
  • Broad functional expertise across several marketing competencies including Digital, Social, ABM, and eCommerce
  • Demonstrated experience developing Enterprise software product messaging that clearly communicates customer benefits in a value-based framework.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and execute global product marketing campaigns.
  • Strong focus on Professional Development with a track record of mentoring product marketing professionals to motivate career growth and skills development across the team.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed organization.
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time (US and Global).

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • MBA, PhD or other advanced industry certification in Marketing or Engineering   
  • Expertise in engineering-related software domains like Numerics, PLM, PDM, CAD, CAE and EDA is a strong plus
  • Strong working knowledge of the products within the portfolio as well as how they are utilized within different industry scenarios and use cases
  • Proven experience supporting global B2B and B2C demand generation campaigns across a diverse product portfolio
  • Industry experience within Automotive, Hi-Tech, Semiconductor, Industrial Manufacturing, Aerospace or Health & Life Sciences
