Stage de fin d'études de 6 mois niveau master ou fin d'études d'ingénieur à Sophia Antipolis, dans notre bureau de R&D en simulation pour les véhicules autonomes, pour un(e) étudiant(e) en ingénierie optique ou électrique intéressé par les domaines suivants: photométrie, radiométrie, modélisation et simulation, avec de bonnes connaissances en Python et idéalement en C#

 

Validation of automotive camera simulation models
 

/ Summary / 

Ansys is building a software toolchain to demonstrate the safety of ADAS and Autonomous driving algorithms in the virtual world, prior to commercial deployment. The Ansys AVxcelerate products enable simulating 3D environments including objects with material optical properties and outputs of sensors placed on the vehicle driving on the road. We can manage several types of sensors, like camera, thermal camera, LiDAR, RADAR, etc. 
It is critical, for each type of simulated sensor, to guarantee the physical accuracy of the computed outputs. A large set of techniques can be used for such validation. The objective of this internship is to improve and extend the verification methods applied to our camera simulation models.

 

/ Key Duties and Responsibilities 

•    Collaborate effectively with the other teams withing Ansys and/or with our partners involved in this topic    
•    Explore new methods for the verification of our camera simulation models 
•    Improve and extend our verification tests via new implementations
•    Investigate the root cause of any potential difference between simulated outputs and expected camera outputs    

 

/ Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

•    Student of Master 2 level having its major in Optics and/or Electronics, including photometry/radiometry module  
•    Significant experience with scripting language (ideally Python)

 

/ Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

•    Knowledge of camera systems
•    Knowledge in signal processing 
•    Significant experience with programming language (ideally C#)
•    A thorough and careful approach to work; close attention to detail and quality; strong analytical skills
•    Effective verbal and written communication skills
