OVERVIEW

As an R&D Engineering Intern, you will support research, prototyping, development, and testing for both

new and existing Ansys products.  This program will provide an opportunity to work on complex solutions,

network with our large R&D organization, and collaborate with professional R&D engineers.  We offer

opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students.

 

This summer internship is a full time paid position.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop new applications of existing features and/or identify software or feature limitations.
  • Work alongside software developers during the design, implementation, and verification process.
  • Develop prototypes or test new solution strategies or algorithms.
  • Develop unit and regression tests.
  • Apply technical knowledge to real-world challenges
  • Analyze results and communicate findings in technical reports or visualizations.

 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering or related technical degree
  • Experience with Linux, including basic shell scripting
  • Strong knowlege of Python scripting
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship program.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ansys Software experience, including structural mechanics software such as Ansys Mechanical APDL, Ansys LS-DYNA, or Ansys Mechanical
  • Computer science competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Coding experience with one or more of: C++, Javascript, C#
  • Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills
  • A thorough and careful approach to work; close attention to details and quality
