SUMMARY
ANSYS, Inc. seeks Manager Application Engineering SCBU to work in Austin, Texas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead an application engineering team to create customer awareness, sales, and support readiness for the Semiconductor business unit. Create and execute a sales strategy to support the growth goals for the Business Unit, including delivery of product messaging, pre-sales content, and product training and documentation. Specific job duties of this position include the following:
- Lead a team of application engineers responsible for delivering value-based messaging, pre- and post-sales support across a product family;
- Own the development of account plans and technical campaign kits aligned with business growth objectives and key initiatives;
- Ensure quality and timely execution of all technical campaigns and customer support tickets in alignment with business growth objectives;
- Partner with sales and channel leaders to align technical campaigns with regional sales goals;
- Support the successful delivery of all product launches and releases through active field testing;
- Partner with the Ansys Marketing team on campaign execution, lead tracking and product promotion across Digital and Social channels;
- Build and develop high-achieving application engineering teams and ensure continuous employee development;
- Create a positive team culture that is aligned with the Ansys culture and provides an environment supporting diversity and inclusion;
- Recruit, develop, and retain high performing talent; and
- Deliver quarterly reports evaluating achievement on technical campaign goals, metrics, and return on investment (ROI)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study, and six (6) years of experience in a related occupation.
- Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study, and eight (8) years of experience in a related occupation.
- Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
- experience managing and growing a geographically distributed team comprised of 5 or more individuals;
- experience in technical account management; custom circuit analysis and design, standard cell physical layout, timing and noise analysis, or voltage drop effects with CAD tools;
- EDA tools on layout, STA, Extraction-SPEF/DSPF and Spice;
- troubleshooting and debugging problems for UNIX operating systems;
- scripting using Perl or Tcl.
- Additional information: This is a telecommuter position. The applicant must be willing to reside within reasonable commuting distance to the ANSYS, Inc. Austin, TX office location in order to work in the ANSYS office at least three days per week.
