Summary / Role Purpose

As our Security Architecture Engineer, you will work closely with Cybersecurity peers, Information Technology, and multiple Business Units and departments to review, verify, and ensure that Ansys cybersecurity architectural standards are implemented correctly and effectively throughout all Ansys environments. Together with the lead engineer you will be providing guidance and technical direction to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Ansys information assets.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal requests for guidance and support on the implementation of security controls
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers to understand request(s)
  • Work closely with team members to ensure that the security needs of stakeholders and Ansys customers are met
  • Maintain awareness on current threats and vulnerabilities
  • Evaluate application and infrastructure architectural designs for security flaws, vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and misconfigurations
  • Perform Security risk assessments/review of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS deployments
  • Track and manage remediation efforts around ticketed vulnerabilities and configurations
  • Work closely with the Lead Engineer to ensure coverage of responsibilities

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Experience in:
    • Vulnerability management
    • Network and information systems design, and
    • Application security practices
    • Cloud architecture and security
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001
  • Experience with application security testing tools (BurpSuite, WFuzz, Nmap/SQLmap, Wpscan, scripting languages, various command line tools, etc.)
  • Associate degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant SANS or ISC^2 Certifications
