Objectives

The R&D division of the Ansys Mechanical Business Unit seeks an innovative engineer to help advance its existing product features along with availing new product functionalities.

 

In a nutshell, the internship goals for the successful candidate are as follows:

  1. Product and productivity enhancements (on newly available and pipeline products) - Help realize minimal viable product functionalities as it relates to microstructure preprocessing for Crystal Plasticity along with enabling continuous improvements in Hydrogen simulation aspects. 

  2. Product and productivity enhancements (on already available products) – Help realize and research better features within the existing product functionalities such as texture evolution and special mechanisms as it relates to 2nd phase deformation aspects. 

  3. Development of Technical Documentation (TD) for microstructure preprocessing functionality within Ansys Mechanical along with availing relevant videos for new product feature dissemination  

Required skills/profile:

  1. Passion for Finite Elements, Structures, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering 

  2. Currently studying in 4th or 5th year of engineering degree, and starting an internship this summer or September 2024 (either “césure” after 4th year or “end of study” internship).

  3. Being available for 6 months for this internship

  4. Experience in Python, Matlab and machine learning
